Stay That Way (Poem)

Wait…

Don’t skip away…

Flower picking, swinging, singing round-a-Rosie.

We all fall down, the sun goes home, burdened with maturity.

We can stay, continue to play, ignoring mother’s call.

Gloom rolls in, hunger kicks, darkness dares us all.

Time is gone, they proclaim, follow right along.

Refuse their somber beliefs, set rules for adulthood.

We know dreams fly, they weren’t born to be forgotten.

Prolong our fun, silly game, life flourishes on happiness.

We’ll never grow up and just who are you to make us?

Picture was painted with acrylic by me, the picture of the picture came out kinda fuzzy, but eh.
